This is a re-run for a very few number of you… I wrote this a couple years ago, but will tell you I had the exact experience today and remembered this post. I like it. I hope you do too.

I have just returned from a glorious walk on a Spring day. I don"t mean to rub it in, for those of you who are still in the death grip of winter, but Spring is already burgeoning here and I am feeling expectant... hopeful... eyes wide open. The sun is just warm enough to make you want to bask in it....

The Invitation of Rest

“Arise, O Lord, and come to your resting place.”
(Psalm 132:8)

What is it you need most from God? Jesus often asked those he encountered, “What is it you want me t or you?” Quite the invitation! The God of the universe lays at our feet his power, might, and benevolence to serve us. What would you say?

Would you say to God, as King David did, “I want you to come to your resting
